Arts Ed at The Granada Presents
The Teen Project!
The Granada Teen Project offers free programs that empower teens with the understanding that theatre and film can be positive outlets for self-expression. Student writers, directors, videographers and actors express their points of view through original material that speaks to other teens. In addition to our popular Digital Media Program, this season we introduced our new Teen Writer & Actor Workshops - a unique opportunity for students to write, act and learn from the pros.
Teen Writer & Actor Workshops
Arts Ed at The Granada introduces a new creative outlet for aspiring young artists. The Teen Writer & Actor Workshops are designed to give participants the rare opportunity to learn how to both write and act for the stage and screen. In addition, these workshops are taught by award-winning pros whose credits range from Broadway to Hollywood and beyond.

Digital Media Program
This program focuses on “at risk youth” and includes teens exploring their community while documenting their experiences. They may be visiting a senior center, local non-profit agency, area business or government offices. Through this experience they may gain new knowledge, explore potential career options or learn how to contribute to their community in ways they hadn’t thought of previously. Skills include shooting video, writing, editing, screening and promoting their final productions. This program has many generous collaborators including Easy Lift Transportation Services and Instructional Media Services at the County Education Office.
